Navigation on the lake
 Lake Como is also said Lario, is the third Italian lake for its area. It is completely Lombardic territory and its shores are part of the provinces of Como and of Lecco.
The area of the Lake Como measure 145,9 km2 to the medium level of m 198 s.l.m., the perimeter is km 170, the longitudinal length between Gera Lario and Como is km 46, the branch of Lecco is 19 km long, the maximum depth is close to Argegno m 414.
Along the coast you can find equipped harbours, but the most are in bad condition because of the low depth and the precarious conditions of the piers.
For smaller sailing or motor boats, there are valid berthings and beaches close to the coasts in the areas used as camping-sites. The most of them are situated in the northern area of the lake.
